They're popping...FAST!

The sunflowers are defying all expectations.  They were scheduled to bloom mid August.


Instead, they are starting to pop open now.


They have also bolted up another foot (or more) in the last week and for some reason are over 6 feet tall this year.  Go figure!  Based on their growth rate this year, I'm sure that THIS WEEKEND will be optimum field viewing.  I'm just positive that this will be it.  (Unless they surprise me again...)

    Hi--
    pooped over from another blog. Is it ok to go to the new location and look at the sunflowers? Are we allowed to get out and walk through them?

    Are the flowers still in bloom? My best friend is visiting and I would love to show her a real sunflower field

    Sadly, they only lasted one week this year due to the extreme heat and all the blooms are long gone.

    Hi. I know this is the post from last year, but I'm curious how the fields are doing this year? I'm planning my engagement photos and would love to have some of them taken in the field during bloom!

    Do you allow people to visit for photos? If so, when is the best time to visit?
